Capital Area Health Education Center (AHEC)

Capital AHEC is one of nine AHEC centers throughout the East Texas AHEC region that partner with your community to improve population health, especially the underserved, by creating partnerships among community and academic organizations. Five program areas have been created to promote healthcare workforce development within your community. Through these initiatives, we can assist you with all of the needs of your community.

Capital AHEC serves 1.3 million people in an 8 county region surrounding the city of Austin, Texas.
