Health Career Summer Camp 2008

The 2008 Health Career Summer Camp took place June 16th – 20th.  The camp helped immerse interested students from low-income, high minority schools in health professions while having fun at the same time.  This experience helped students better understand the pros and cons for each career in healthcare as well as allowed the students the opportunity to ask questions about different careers.

This year 24 students participated in camp and represented 8 different high schools from Austin and the surrounding area.  Students were able to make new friends while selection a future career which made the camp educational and fun.
