Nursing Careers Summer Camp 2011

In 2011 Texas AHEC East - Capital Region again partnered with Austin Community College to offer 2 separate Nursing Career Summer Camps. The first camp was held at Texas State University in San Marcos on June 6-10. The second camp was held at the University of Texas in Austin on June 20-24. Both camps helped high school students from around the greater Austin area learn the benefits of pursuing a career in nursing.

Total there were 50 students who participated in the two camps and represented 19 different high schools in our service region.  Feedback from this year’s camps was very positve and students gained a valuable experience.
