UTMB 3rd Year Internal Medicine Clerkship (outpatient portion)
UTMB's Internal Medicine Clerkship is a required course for all 3rd year medical students. Capital AHEC has been asked to locate preceptors for 48 UTMB 3rd year medical students each year for this course. The entire course is 12 weeks. The inpatient portion is 8 weeks (at Brackenridge Hospital), the outpatient portion is 4 weeks (with a volunteer preceptor).
Preceptor Qualifications
MD or DO, must be an Internist (Generalist), Board Certified and current license to practice in Texas.
Preceptor commitment per student
4.5 days each week for 4 weeks
